And to add, the amount of potential sound you can hear is also limited by the frequency range of your headphones / speakers. My cans go up to something stupid like 47,000Hz which no human can hear.but I wouldn't be surprised if less expensive cans have a lower ceiling.

I'd expect built-in computer speakers to be among the worst offenders. Anyway, yea the 22Hz was loud and clear on my ears.
